Our bush lodge with reed ceilings is a home away from home, accommodating just 6 guests. Guests staying in the lodge will be personally hosted by our guest hostess. You shall be visited in the main lounge area each evening prior to your evening meal to help with the arrangement of any activities, as well as just to hear what stories you may have to tell. This is the place to stay should you want that traditional bush lodge feel and have your breakfast and evening meals prepared for you!
Couches in the main sitting area encourage visitors to relax with a book. There are loungers on the main pool deck where one can dip in the pool to cool off on those sizzling hot Zululand summer days.
The open plan kitchen means that guests can see and smell the honest home-cooked food being prepared for them by Jabu and Nonhlanhla where it shall be served either outside on the main deck or inside on the large eucalyptus table. There is a small honesty bar with a basic selection of drinks and local wines.
The air-conditioned bedroom chalets (Tambotie or Marula) with huge windows offer seamless views of the surrounding bush and are cosily furnished with wood and textured fabrics in rich colours.
The jacaranda bathroom vanities are adorned with handcrafted basins and the frameless shower and free standing bath provide an interesting mix of old and new. Each bedroom has its own private viewing deck, looking out to a small water hole. Wooden walkways link the bedroom chalets to the main lodge and its pool deck where guests can come together and share their day’s stories over a sun-downer.
There are games in the cupboard. No TV's or DVD's though, just bush TV!
The lodge is serviced daily.
